Remote villages, mystical mountain forests, rare Buddhist Gompas and secluded farmlands lead along this special village trek. This is the best way to experience real village culture, warm hospitality and pristine nature.
The overnight stays are in the village houses and (where needed) in camps. You can enjoy traditional and delicious village food, visit the farms and join the village activities. Dance and music performances by the villagers invite to experience the local forms of dance, art and music.
The visitors are encouraged to join all activities in the villages like cooking, farming, collecting (not cutting) of fire wood etc.
The treks are short and permit sufficient time in the villages and for jungle walks around the villages. The villages are of different Sikkimese communities like Lepchas, Gurungs, Chettries and Subbhas and reflect the variety in the Sikkimese culture.

The accommodations in our tours are in good hotels of country specific standard. Wherever possible we try to accommodate our guests in resorts in rural surroundings.
At the trekking tour we accommodate in private village houses with basic standard or - where needed - in tents. |
