These
three North-East Indian states share a mystical landscape of blue
mountains and rolling hills covered by lush green tropical Jungles
with a huge bio-diversity and an interesting fauna. In this magical
landscape one can find numerous different tribes of Tibeto-Burmese
origin, 32 in Nagaland alone, which have preserved their unique
traditions and culture. The Mizo, Naga and many unknown tribes
are warm and welcoming hosts and don’t hesitate sharing
their cultural understanding with the visitors. Their dances are
as colourful as their picturesque villages and their ethnical
clothing and handy-crafts. Fertile soils and high rainfalls have
created landscapes that are a treat to the eyes; with paddy fields,
rainforests and misty hill tops, sky blue lakes and gushing waterfalls.
There are hundreds of orchid varieties, lilies, bamboos and a
rare wild life including the Hoolock Baboon, which is the only
gibbon variety found in India, tiger, elephant, sloth bear and
Manipurs dancing deer.
