Desire Earth is a family-run company located in Pelling, Sikkim. It was founded in 2006 by Ilona and Mahendra Nalwaya. Both are running the hotel Yangthang Resorts in Pelling, Sikkim. With Mahendra Nalwaya being an Indian national and Ilona Nalwaya being a German, the couple is in the ideal position to bridge the communication gap between local Indian guides and partners and international customers.

Desire Earth is also able to offer tours attended by guides fluent in English, German, and Spanish, as well as the Indian languages Hindi and Tamil.

Desire Earth strives to build long-term business relationships with organisational customers. European-style communication, reliability and flexibility are its key selling points. The company offers travels from basic to luxurious levels, but it always maintains a spirit of individuality.

A strength of Desire Earth is its ability to serve both organizational and individual customers. While the whole of India is on Desire Earth’s menu, it can offer you travels to the most unknown and remote places of India, notably the North-Eastern states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, and of course, its homebase Sikkim. These places have only recently been opened to tourism and offer tours into unspoiled cultures and natural spaces.
