In spite of certain difficulties and discomfort India is a beautiful country to travel with children for the simple reason that people love children in India and would to anything to make them happy. Whatever children do is tolerated and everybody takes care and responsibility for them. Local children are quick to integrate others. To travel with children is also a very good opportunity to get more in touch with the locals.

Of course there are some precautions to be taken since hotel rooms can be dirty and food might be spicy. But everybody will understand special needs and help with special food or complicated situations. Especially the northeastern states which are less populated are very convinient to travel with children.
